Welcome to EdoinTokyo.com, a blog about yours truly, Edward Charlebois; Edo (江戸) for short. I’ll be blunt in explaining about this site mainly because not many people read the about page to begin with.

EdoinTokyo.com was originally a failed attempt on keeping track of my life in Tokyo back in 2006.08 ~ 2007.04. Due to some limitations with my site, I wasn’t able to maintain it efficiently. I later relaunched the site as EiT 2.0 in 2008.02.27 after having been stagnant for almost a year. EiT 2.0′s main focus was shifted to my academic studies and daily life at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After two years the site has been relaunched once again as EiT 3.0 in 2010.06.02. The focus of the site has returned to its original intent in keeping track of life in not only Tokyo, but all of Japan. However this trip to Japan will only last until 2010.08.25, after which it will return to my college life at UMass.

Finally, although the site currently is for Japan life and academics, it will not be limited to just that. This is a blogging site and will also carry the load of my personal life, interests, and of friend’s interests. So with that said, enjoy your stay and I hope my site will be helpful for you.
